you need a chatplace account.
chatplace is what gives claude live access to your instagram. activate the trial so every feature is available during the setup.

- 2connect your instagram from settings. it has to be a business or creator account; personal accounts do not expose the messaging permission.
- 3go to automations and activate the trial period.
- 4choose the creator plan. virale and every automation tool unlock on this plan.
- 5link a card and activate the trial. cancel within 14 days and nothing is charged.
connect
connect chatplace to claude.
do this once. after that claude has full access to your instagram profile through chatplace, and you can run the setup any time.

open the connectors panel
- open claude and go to settings → customize → connectors.
- click 'add custom connector'.
- 02in chatplace
copy the connector url
- open chatplace and go to settings → mcp connector.
- click 'copy connector url'.
- 03in claude
paste the url into claude
- back in claude, paste the url into the 'add custom connector' field.
- 04chatplace → claude
create an api token and authorize
- in chatplace, create an api token, give it the right permissions and copy it.
- back in claude, paste the token into the 'authorization' field when connecting.
that is it. claude is now connected to your instagram profile through chatplace.
run
now build the agent.
open a claude chat with chatplace connected, paste the request and fill in the <inputs> block with your keyword, link, product and hours. everything else stays as it is. claude creates the rules paused; you test and switch them on.

Comment rule: on every post in the account, DM anyone whose comment contains the keyword. Flow: welcome message with one button, follow check, link message if following, otherwise "follow the profile, then tap the button" and check again. Add a short public comment reply such as "sent it to your DM". 3. Build the same flow as a separate rule for DMs and story replies with a "message contains" trigger. Include common misspellings of the keyword. 4. All texts in my language, second person, three sentences per message at most. No hype, no exclamation stacks. 5. AI agent: add the product info and working hours to the knowledge base. When it does not know an answer it must not guess; it hands over to me. 6. Create everything PAUSED. When done, list the rule links and every message text. I will test from another account and switch them on. </rules>

keyword comment to link
anyone who comments the keyword under your posts gets a dm. non-followers are asked to follow first, and a short public reply lands under the comment.

dm and story reply
the same flow starts when someone sends the keyword by dm or as a story reply. misspellings are caught too.

an agent answering dms
it knows your product and your hours. it quotes prices at 3 am and calls you in when it does not know the answer.

everything paused
no rule goes live before you test it. comment the keyword from another account, and activate once the dm arrives.
